Franke and Faber have got the Autumn season off to a great start with the inauguration of their first flagship store in the heart of Milan’s Brera Design District. The new location at 18 Via Pontaccio boasts a total of six large windows overlooking one of the district’s most famous roads.
The project, by architect and designer Carlo Colombo, has created a luminous interior dominated by welcoming, neutral tones and backgrounds that are perfect for focusing attention on the elegance and excellence of Faber hoods and Franke kitchen systems.
The showroom houses some of the most iconic creations of Faber, the company that invented the kitchen hood back in 1955. The hoods on display incorporate the latest, most advanced design and technology. Two great examples are the new Chloè chimney hood and the ultra-thin Talìka hood, winner of the 2017 Red Dot Design Award. And when it comes to innovation, what could be more iconic than Fabula Plus, a built-in hood that retracts discreetly into the hob cabinet when not needed and rises on command to deliver superb performance.
In addition to a great selection of Faber hoods, the new Milan showroom takes visitors on a journey of discovery through the products of the Franke Group: everything from sinks with KWC and Mamoli mixer taps to domestic appliances, worktops and professional coffee machines from the Coffee Systems division.
The showroom reflects the design concept adopted by Franke flagship stores worldwide, and stands out for its beautifully elegant and sophisticated atmosphere in line with the latest trends. The interior welcomes visitors to an all-round experience of the Franke world.
Franke’s collaboration with Carlo Colombo dates back to the creation of its Crystal collection (2008). The relationship was consolidated in 2014 with the design of stands for various top international exhibitions (including Eurocucina) and was confirmed more recently by the architect’s signature of Franke flagship stores in Shanghai, Zurich, Bangkok and Beijing (2016). 2017 began with the refurbishment of the company’s historic Italian showroom in Peschiera del Garda and continued with the opening of stores in Lausanne and Lucerne.
The Franke Group’s new Milan flagship store is certain to become a point of reference for the world of design.
